Berkley Chapel is a non-denominational church in Auburndale committed to becoming the kind of community described in the Bible. At Berkley Chapel, we are regular people focused on learning the Bible without all the hype and clutter so that people find the answers they are searching for. We teach through the Bible verse-by-verse to help people understand God’s truth and apply it to their lives. Whether you’ve known Jesus a long time, or have a lot of spiritual questions, we would love to have you join us!

Connection Class
Twice a year we host a 2-week social event called the Connection Class focused on helping you make friends with other Berkley Chapel attendees. Make new friends, meet our staff, and learn more about our heart as a church. If you are new, this is a great first step!
Foundations Course
Foundations is our 8-week interactive class designed to build solid foundations in your life and is our path to membership here at Berkley Chapel. Whether you’re a new Christ-follower, new to our church, or interested in learning core Biblical truths, the Foundations Course is for you! These classes are held twice a year on Sunday mornings during our 9:00am service.
Chapel Groups
Groups are a big deal at Berkley Chapel! In order to grow in faith, every believer needs to experience intentional discipleship, meaningful relationships, and accountability that strengthen our lives. We offer groups all year long that meet at various times and locations. Click the "groups" tab in the navigation bar to browse our groups.

Meet Pastor John Nix
My identity is anchored in Christ—crucified with Him, yet alive through Him (Galatians 2:20). My wife Allison and I have been married for over thirty years, and outside of my salvation, she's been my greatest gift in ministry and life. Our three children, Sarah, Sydney, and Simeon, love Jesus, and watching them grow in faith has been one of our greatest joys.
Growing up in a pastor's home, I watched my father model faithful ministry while my grandmother spent countless hours teaching me Scripture. At sixteen, God's calling to ministry arrived with all the subtlety of a freight train. Clear, unmistakable, life-altering.
Through three decades of pastoral ministry, I've learned that authentic transformation happens not in polished programs but in the messy, beautiful work of walking alongside people through every season. I long to see lives genuinely transformed by the gospel's power.
I'd love to buy you coffee and hear your story, whether you're visiting Berkley Chapel for the first time or have been here for years.
